Do cheap Disney World tickets really exist? The hoax:  If you drive on Route 192 outside of Kissimmee, a very touristy road packed with hotels and restaurants near Walt Disney World, you sill see literally dozens of somewhat shabby shops, vans, and shacks promising "cheap Disney Tickets".  Is that really possible? The reality:  Since Disney is the only company that can produce Disney tickets, the answer is generally no.  However, you can trade yor time - and a little of your sanity - for tickets, and you can get some slight discounts. Normally when someone offers tickets and a drastically reduced price it is because you pay for them a different way - with your precious vacation time.  These are usually time share presentations where you have to sit through a very high-pressure sales pitch to buy a week of a condo.  You may get a deal on a Disney ticket, but you will almost certaily be frazzled by a slick sales person trying to pressure you into an immediate decision on a very expensive time share.  Take our advice - avoid the hassle. What about getting a great deal on eBay?  Buyer beware.  There is no easy way to validate over the internet if the tickets sold are actually valid or how many days are available.  Plus, Disney states that tickets are non-transferrable.  And they take finger prints to back up this concept.  Used internet tickets are too risky.  You can get slight and true discounts from some organizations such as the American Automobile Association (AAA), or perhaps even your employer.  Plus you can research and purchase your tickets before you arrive in Orlando.  This saves time since you don't have to wait in line before getting into the parks.  It can also save some frustration since you won't have to make 'on the spot' decisions about which of the many ticket options you want to purchase. Remember the old saying - if a deal sounds too good to be true, it probably is.  Stick with buying your tickets from AAA or directly from Disney to avoid a nasty surprise (invalid tickets) or a nasty experience (a high pressure sales marathon).
