Disney's Wilderness Lodge

Disney's Wilderness Lodge is a resort hotel located at the Walt Disney World Resort. It was opened on May 28, 1994. The resort is themed to evoke the atmosphere of the Pacific Northwest, and it features both natural and Native American elements. The resort includes a working geyser and hot springs. The main building is modeled on the historic Old Faithful Inn in Yellowstone National Park from 1904. There is boat transportation available to the Magic Kingdom and Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. The resort's sister hotel is Disney's Grand Californian Hotel at Disneyland Resort, California.
In 2008, Wilderness Lodge staff volunteered to sort through mounds of garbage to find platinum rings mistakenly discarded by a guest.
In November 2007, the resort received designation in the Florida Green Lodging Program.
Shopping & Dining
The resort has a number of dining options including Miss Jenny's which serves room service. The main dining at the resort is the Artist Point. It serves food prepared in the style of the American Northwest with meals taken from Washington State, Oregon, and British Columbia. These meals include dinners such as cedar plank salmon, grilled buffalo, and Artist Point berry cobbler. Seasonally copper river salmon is served.
Whispering Canyon Cafe is the other full-service dining restaurant. Whispering Canyon Cafe is a relaxed, family restaurant which is known for its cheerful, funny wait staff and its various activities designed to excite children, such as the wooden horses that they are sometimes invited to ride.
Roaring Fork Snacks, Territory Lounge and Trout Pass all serve as quick snack eateries.
Guests staying on the 7th-floor Concierge level can take advantage of the Old Faithful Club, which offers complimentary continental breakfast, cheese and wine tastings, as well as assorted beverages and snacks throughout the day.
Wilderness Lodge Mercantile is a shop located in the main lobby of the resort and sells items themed after the Pacific Northwest along with other standard Disney items. Since the addition of the Villas at the Wilderness Lodge, the shop has also started selling limited grocery items as well. Teton Boat and Bike Rentals rents out boats and bikes for guests to use on Bay Lake and the trails around the resort.
Tours
Wonders of the Lodge is a tour that takes you around the resort and tells of how it was constructed and the details that went into it.
