Disney's Polynesian Resort
A deluxe resort, Disney's Polynesian Resort was one of the original hotel / resorts to open when Walt Disney World did in 1971. It has a Hawaiian / South Pacific theme and is located on the Seven Seas Lagoon – which gives it a nice view of the Magic Kingdom. You can get to the resort via the monorail station on the second floor of the Great Ceremonial House, which contains check-in, restaurants, and shops.
Polynesian Resort restaurants include:
’Ohana a restaurant which serves food family-style.
Kona Cafe which serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner – and of course Kona coffee.
Captain Cook's Snack Company a 24-hour quick-serve restaurant
Spirit of Aloha, the Polynesian Resort’s Dinner Show, which includes all you can eat Polynesian food and dancing.
The resort was given a facelift in 2006-2007.
