Disney's Treehouse Villas at Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa
The Treehouse Villas at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa include 60 new single-family homes build to replace the original Treehouses. The Villas are located across Village Lake from Downtown Disney and are next to the Lake Buena Vista golf course. They opened in the summer of 2009.
The original Treehouses operated from 1975 - 2002. While the current Treehouse Villas are all brand new, Disney honored the original octagonal design while working to be sensitive to the wetland environment.
Each of the sixty three-bedroom, two full bath villas is built 10 feet off the ground on pedestals to help the buildings blend into their forest location. Each villa is approximately 1,074 square feet in size.
The villas include luxury touches such as modern flat-screen televisions, granite countertops, and cathedral ceilings. They are much upgraded and more glamorous when compared to the more humble original treehouses. Staying at a Treehouse Villa is certainly not like a 'roughing it' camping experience.
Each Treehouse can host up to nine Guests. The kitchen is open and includes an island and a counter area with seating for three. A separate separate dining room table seats up to six.
The Treehouses are part of the Disney Vacation Club. They are not a new Disney resort but rather are a fourth-phase expansion of the Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa. Guests can access the Treehouse Villas either from footpath from the Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa or via a private entrance drive from Disney Vacation Club Way - just down the road from the Springs Resort & Spa entrance.
Guests staying in the Treehouse Villas have rights to use of all amenities at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa.
