Carousel of Progress
The Carousel of Progress is located in Tomorrowland at the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World. Walt Disney himself and the Imagineers of Disney created the Carousel of Progress as a key "must see" at the General Electric Pavilion in the New York World's Fair of 1964.
It opened at Walt Disney World Resort's Magic Kingdom in 1975.
The Carousel of Progress explores an American family living through time and the improvement of technology the 20th century. The attraction has been updated regularly, including in 1994.
The attraction has had two different theme songs, both written by Disney's award-winning songwriters the Sherman Brothers. The theme songs have been "There's a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow" and "Now is the Time".
A video that plays in the waiting queue states that Walt Disney himself said the Carousel of Progress was his favorite attraction.
The Carousel of Progress holds the record of having the most performance and longest run in the history of American theater.
The show unfolds in six scenes. The audience seats rotate between each scene around the stage.
